So often you think of having your photo taken, and your next thought is, ‘how do I pose in front of the camera?’ You may pop an arm on your hip and flash a smile, but that doesn’t always have to be the case. Sometimes the most beautiful portraits are where there is no elaborate posing, no smiling; just you experiencing the moment and living in the now.

That was the exact process behind Eunice’s recent session at my Middelburg studio. We wanted to create something that went beyond, ‘this is what I look like,’ and into this is what I feel.
