When you see a photo, you’re seeing that one moment in time captured forever, but it’s more than just that. That photo is a reminder of every laugh, challenge, milestone and quiet in-between that bought you to that moment. Photos aren’t just about the present; they’re a celebration of the journey and the love that’s grown over time.

A birthday is always the perfect reason to book a session, especially if it’s a milestone birthday like turning 30. I recently met up with Jo-landri in Middelburg to capture her just being the only person she needs to be- herself; and all while celebrating her turning 30 this February.
One of my favorite hobbies reserved for my down time is reading- I get lost in books for hours on end. Natasha also loves reading and wanted to bring a Steampunk adventure story to life as a way of capturing photos of her custom Land Rover. And she was serious on the look by going all out on her outfit that give the perfect Steampunk look for her outdoor session in Middelburg.
Early summer is a beautiful time of year with it’s golden, glowy afternoons and lush greenery- it’s one of the perfect times of year for an outdoor session before unpredictable summer storms hit. It was just such a perfect day when I met up with the Combrink family here in Middelburg for their second maternity session with me.
And of course to help big brother relax a bit and enjoy his session, I let him take a photo of his parents that I know they’re going to treasure just as much as the rest of their photos.
