Welcome to your Matric Farewell Experience!

I would be honored to capture such a special occasion and create treasured images for you. To give you as much info about your session, you can read through this guide that details every aspect of your session. If you still have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I’ll be happy to help.

Choosing a Package

The Details

I offer two packages for matric farewell sessions this 2019: one for an indoor studio session and another for a garden studio session outdoors. Each package includes ample time to capture enough images of you and your partner, along with some photos of you and your family too; all of which the images you select as part of your final package are perfectly edited and presented in a private online gallery. Your gallery is password protected and available to you as soon as your photos have been edited.

The Location

After experiencing the chaos of matric farewells for the last five years, with sessions all over town or even on locations outside of Middelburg, I decided to make a big change and have all bookings in only one location: my home based studios.

With having a lush garden studio set outdoors with ample greenery that is reserved only for my clients, you can be assured that you will have an exclusive location for your session. If you prefer a more sophisticated look to your photos, then there’s the option of a traditional studio session indoors on the same premises.

Tagging Along

With your matric farewell soon approaching I’m sure you’re quite excited and that extends to your family as well- they can’t wait to see you looking amazing and off to have a memorable night. While it is something of a tradition to have a portrait with your parents and siblings during your session, I please ask that no other people attend your session. It makes for a chaotic atmosphere where you feel all eyes on you, and that means photos where you look tense. I also request that your family not take photos of you during your session; there’s a lovely seating area just for them where they can relax while we’re busy. Besides, with dad taking photos over my shoulder you end up looking at them instead of me, making for not-so-great photos for your package.

Session Day

Arriving

You’re super excited and I’m sure you can’t wait for your session, cause that means matric farewell time straight after. When you arrive at my studio, I’ll be able to see you on my security system to buzz you in. You’re welcome to park your vehicles inside and there is ample space to do so. Please just remember that my studio is based on the same property as my home, meaning that I do have friendly cats in my gardens and parking area.

What Happens at your Session

It’s finally session day! Ensuring you feel comfortable is my number one priority to ensure we get natural photos; so before we begin we have a chat about what we’ll be doing for your session. From there I’ll ease you into your session, guiding you to act naturally and interact with your environment and partner. I will guide you into poses that show you at your absolute best and ensure you feel confident and relaxed. Before you know it, your session has wrapped and we have plenty of portraits that capture you at your natural best.

If it Rains?

As much as I keep tabs on multiple weather apps in the days leading up to your session, I can’t make any guarantees on the weather. In the event it rains, then your session will be moved from the outdoor garden studio to the indoor studio on the same premises.

After your Session

Social Media Preview

I know you’re excited and can’t wait to see a preview from your session. Within 48-72 hours of your session, I will upload a preview portrait to my social media for you. So be sure to pop by my Facebook page or ensure you have tagging enabled so I can tag you in your post, then there’s no chance you can miss it.

Your Online Gallery

With your portrait session wrapped, your photos are backed up with the best photos being selected and lightly edited. These are then uploaded to a private online gallery for you to view and select your photos for final editing and retouching; you’re guaranteed of receiving access to your selection gallery with 48-72 hours of your session.

Extra Digital Images

While you may have booked a package for a set amount of edited images, you’re also welcome to purchase additional images during the selection stage. These are priced at R75 per extra image and include the high resolution file, fully edited, and a black and white duplicate.

Purchasing Prints

When your completed gallery is ready you’re also welcome to purchase high quality prints like canvases, wood mounts, folio boxes and more via the built-in online store in your gallery. You will also still have your online store available for the duration that your gallery is online meaning you can purchase prints after final delivery too.

Gone are the days of CDs! Your photos will be uploaded in high resolution to a private online gallery within 10-14 days of receiving your selection. There they can be accessed by any device with an internet connection for the next 3 months. You can then easily download your photos, share to social media or invite friends and family to view your photos.
