Let’s Talk Weddings

What is your wedding style? Simply put, my style is a direct response to your venue and available light on your wedding day, coupled with your personal preference and my artistic touch. If your venue has a distinctly light and bright look, with plenty of natural light; then your photos will naturally reflect that. On the reverse, if your venue is heavily shaded with very little natural light, then that too comes through in your photos with a darker look.

What do your packages include? I understand the need to stick to the basics without skimping on quality. For that reason my packages each include a set amount of wedding day coverage, a guaranteed minimum number of high resolution, fully edited photos on handmade USB, black and white duplicates, low resolution duplicates for social media and a complimentary engagement session.

How many photos do we get? Each of my packages include a minimum number of edited images you’re guaranteed to receive. However, I want you to have the full story of your day so I do edit as many photos as it takes to do so and all at no additional charge. These are delivered on a handmade USB within 3-6 weeks of your wedding date.

Do you travel for weddings? Yes! While I do support the local wedding industry with discounts for weddings booked at local venues, I am available to travel. Fees are based on standard AA rates at R4.50/km and due to safety concerns, I do request accommodation for venues 75km and over from Middelburg, Mpumalanga.

Generally Speaking

What else do you capture? Aside from weddings, I have a passion for creative portraiture, especially women’s and children’ portraits with a fine art touch. However, I’m also available to capture headshots, maternity portraits and couples sessions¬† both outdoors and in studio. Family sessions are also available by special request and at a custom quote.

What are in your packages? Whether it’s for a studio or outdoor session, each of my packages include a session with me and a set amount of fully retouched images, with delivery via a private online gallery hosted for 3 months.

What’s the difference between your packages? It’s simple really; my lifestyle packages are for outdoor sessions with a natural emotive feel, whereas my studio sessions are indoors with perfect lighting for a more classic, elegant look. Then my speciality sessions are all about a bespoke experience as a set, wardrobe and makeup are tailor-made specifically for you.

How many people do your packages cover? In order to capture emotive portraits I do set a limit to the amount of people I can capture in a single session. For families in studio I prefer to work with parents and a max of two tweens or older, with outdoor sessions being better suited to families with younger children. This means you get the attention you deserve during your session and that it fits into package times.

Do you have a studio? I do and it is my happy place! I love my home-based studio and the creative control it offers over lighting; it enables me to create refined, stand-out portraits that indulge my creativity.

Do you offer a makeup service? After brushing up on my skills and earning a certificate in makeup artistry, I offer a professional makeup service to my clients either included in all my standard packages, or as an optional add on for headshot packages.

The Details

How do I book? All you need to do is email info@bronwynkatzkephotography.co.za or call 0790865779 during office hours to set your session or wedding date, time and package. Then, as is industry standard, all I require to secure your date is a 50% booking fee for portraits and a 30% booking fee for weddings.

What happens at a session? Whether we’re working in studio or outdoors, my number one goal is to get you comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera- that’s the secret to gorgeous photos you’l love. We start off your session easing you into being in front of the camera as I guide you to pose naturally and interact with your loved ones. Before you know it your session is wrapped and I have plenty of images to sort through.

What happens after my session? With your session over, your photos are immediately backed up. From there comes the task of sorting through all your images and selecting all of the best images and giving them a light edit. Then I will create a private online gallery for you to view and select your images for final retouching; it’s also at this point you can purchase extra edited images and order prints. This is typically within 48-72 hours of your session.

When will I receive my portraits? With having over a decade of experience in Adobe programs like Photoshop and Lightroom, I tend to edit and retouch fairly quickly ensuring a turnaround time of roughly 10-14 days from when you submit your portrait selection. Print products typically take an additional 10 to 14 days to manufacture and you’ll be contacted to collect as soon as they’re ready.
